An emotive paradise with a fascinating past, Cuba brings us a unique perspective of the world that many of us are not used to. On a Photography tour of the island you can zoom in on a warm and embracing culture, natural beauty and stunning architecture. As vintage American cars stutter down the streets, and lively street theatre echoes off crumbling facades, you will have the opportunity to photograph the experience from the best vantage points, under the expert guidance of Damien Lovegrove.
With the help of a local Cuban guide we will take you where your typical tourist will not go, uncovering the real Cuba. In Havana, you will get to experience and photograph daily Cuban life, mixing and mingling with the locals at unique locations such as a boxing gym and the colourful Afro-Cuban streets. Outside of Havana you will witness first-hand the beautiful countryside and a rural Cuba not seen in the guidebooks.
Because we will run this tour in a small group of no more than 6 guests, we can be flexible with the itinerary, taking advantage of any unforeseen events or developments that help provide the perfect backdrop for photographic opportunities.
This tour is focused on photography, people and culture. We will organise local models to join us at various stages of the trip. Damien has already done this tour twice so it is well rehearsed 🙂
Havana – NH Capri 4*
Trinidad – Boutique B&B’s
Should you wish to arrive before the 25th and would like to stay at the NH Capri you may find that you struggle to book online due to current embargo restrictions. You can try contacting the hotel directly or alternatively please contact us and we will ask our local guide to organise this for you.

In Havana this will be in the form of classic American saloon cars of the 1950s. We will use an air conditioned mini bus to and from Trinidad. The system was tried and tested on the 2018 version of this tour and it worked wonderfully.

Should you cancel this tour for any reason, no refund will be available unless your place is resold. If you would like to cancel your place on this event please contact us by phone or email as soon as possible.
As our costs for each training event remain the same regardless of how many guests attend, like any pre-booked tickets for the theatre, concert, flights etc, we are unable to give a full refund in the event of non-attendance, regardless of the circumstances.
The exception to this is if we have prior notice and are able to put a cancellation place back online AND your place is resold. In this event we will of course make a full refund or credit to you. We also reserve the right to cancel any workshop if there is insufficient demand, especially if it means that our costs would be higher than our income. Please therefore do not leave it until the last few weeks if you are interested in a particular date, as you may find that it has been removed! Please note that we cannot be liable for any other costs incurred by yourself, so please check with us before booking any non-refundable accommodation or transport.
