The Tuscany Tour Overview
On this 7 day, 6 night trip starting and ending in Florence you’ll be journeying through arguably one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe photographing a mixture of portraits, fashion, boudoir, figure-in-the-landscape, and exquisite landscapes. You will be photographing several professional models throughout the trip. There will be five full workshop (teaching) days with arrival and departure ‘road trip’ days either side. We’ll be staying as a group in beautifully appointed Italian villas with breakfast, lunch and evening meals included.
Our vehicles (included) will be SUVs with four people to each car. There will not be many miles to cover on this trip and the emphasis will be on taking photographs under the expert guidance of Damien Lovegrove rather than travelling. Once delegates have all booked we will create a private Facebook group so that people can get to know each other and ask questions about the lenses and equipment required.
Although Florence airport is only 70 minutes from our first villa and 140 minutes from our second villa we will be taking the pretty routes on our road trip days.
Lots of careful planning has gone into this trip to make it as relaxing, inspirational, educational and as fun-filled as possible. There will be great food, good company and excellent photo making opportunities.

“In my opinion Damien put together a highly professional, enjoyable and educative few days that met my very demanding “comfortable ambience” requirements just as much as my photographic ones. I found the trip to be very civilised in terms of food, accommodation and general atmosphere. The whole group can share some of the credit for the latter. We are a disparate bunch comprising of few natural “followers” but under Damien’s leadership we gelled together very quickly and I genuinely enjoyed the company and respected the input of each and every one of you.”
“Despite my prior experience, I learned from Damien methods to see and manage light that I was simply not aware of previously. I thought he was a nutter when he told us to capture non-lit ambient images in the middle of a dark tunnel; the results were stunningly dramatic! Damien clearly has an in-depth understanding of light and a uniquely effective way of conveying this to others. His location-research images, all shot on the day after our workshop, are testament to the fact that he can do far more than just talk about photography! Thank you Damien.” – Duncan
“I had such a good time and was so happy to meet everyone. Thank you all for the memories and company, and thank you Damien for being a fantastic instructor and a ton of fun to hang out with, and to Mischkah for being incredibly professional and good at what you do, as well as such a sweet and fun person to spend time with. Cheers!” – Tim
“It was worth every step of the journey!!! I had such an amazing time… and I learnt a lot!” – Nikki
“Your experience , knowledge and enthusiasm was extremely motivational and I am certainly energised and wanting to raise the bar on my own expectations for developing a quality business. Damien has helped me immensely and [my training] was undoubtedly one of the best training experiences that I have ever had. “
“I just wanted to say a very big thank you to everyone involved in the Tuscany workshop. It was really a great time, lots of fun & laughs, the locations were brilliant. Please pass on my appreciation to everyone involved, you all did a fantastic job.” – David Mussett
“A great experience. Your knowledge about lighting techniques are outstanding. Your easygoing way of teaching made it a joy to learn and explore.” – Fabien
“We had a fantastic time. A perfect mix of workshop and holiday. Damien is the master of light and a great instructor. Thank you and see you in 2018” – Alex

Should you cancel this tour for any reason, no refund will be available unless your place is resold. If you would like to cancel your place on this event please contact us by phone or email as soon as possible.
As our costs for each training event remain the same regardless of how many delegates attend, like any pre-booked tickets for the theatre, concert, flights etc, we are unable to give a full refund in the event of non-attendance, regardless of the circumstances.
The exception to this is if we have prior notice and are able to put a cancellation place back online AND your place is resold. In this event we will of course make a full refund or credit to you. We also reserve the right to cancel any workshop if there is insufficient demand, especially if it means that our costs would be higher than our income. Please therefore do not leave it until the last few weeks if you are interested in a particular date, as you may find that it has been removed! Please note that we cannot be liable for any other costs incurred by yourself, so please check with us before booking any non-refundable accommodation or transport.
